Call for Artists: Creative Time

Are you a New York City-based artist with an exciting idea for a public project? Between December 10 and January 18, Creative Time is accepting proposals for a new public commission to be exhibited in the spring/summer of 2019. The open call is an opportunity for emerging artists to experiment in the public realm, and utilize Creative Time’s 40+ year history of realizing artists’ dream projects.

Ideas can be bold and ambitious, and there is no secret formula for size or scale – proposals can range from the unassuming to a dramatic gesture. Above all, it should be timely, and hold the potential to spark critical public exchange.

Attention all student artists! Looking for an exhibition opportunity? See the information below to submit your work for a summer group show at the 14th Street Y.

This summer the 14th Street Y will fill our gallery walls with art from our vibrant downtown community! If you’re a visual or multimedia artist, we welcome you to submit a piece for possible inclusion in this exciting show, inspired by the following theemes.

QC Arts Festival: Call for Artists and Volunteers

All Queens College students are invited to participate in the QC Arts Festival, which will take place on campus this spring for the week of May 2, 2018 – May 7 2018.

The call for Artist Submissions and Festival Personnel is now open!

The Queens College Arts Festival is now accepting application for both COMMITTEE POSITIONS (Curatorial, Operations, Budgetary) and for ARTIST PROPOSALS. Committee Positions will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Submissions for Festival Proposals will be accepted until FEBRUARY 6, 2018.


Call for Artists: Greenpoint Gallery 2017 National Competition

Queens College students are invited to participate in an upcoming call for artists! The Greenpoint Gallery in Brooklyn is currently accepting submissions for their Fifth Annual National Juried Art Competition. All media are accepted. The winner of Best in Show in our national competition will receive a $5,000 cash prize and a solo show in one of the most popular galleries in Brooklyn. Three runner-up artists will be awarded $250 each and a slot in a group show.

Entry into this competition is limited to the first 300 applicants; so if you are interested in submitting, please review the competition guidelines. The deadline for submissions is Sept. 15th, 2017. For more details, follow the link below!
